What is NUMEN OS?
NUMEN — Neural Unified Meta-cognitive Engine for Nodes — is an integer-only computing substrate built from voltage to bytecode. No floating point, no GPU, no external libraries. Every operation is deterministic and SHA-256 reproducible.
Grounded recall runs in O(1) — 16.3 ns per lookup, a measured 5,759× speedup over naive probing with 0.000% collisions across the full 32-bit address space. Learning is gradient-free Banach contraction: 0.414 J to train a complete model, no backpropagation, convergence guaranteed by theorem.
Built on a single i7-3630QM ThinkPad with no GPU, NUMEN renders integer graphics at 1,050 FPS on one core and runs its prime-rhythm scheduler at 112.95× efficiency — eliminating 99.11% of scheduling pathways — across 60+ days of continuous runtime.
