This is the whole of it — NUMEN as one living system, and the complete story of how pieces of that system were specialized to take on ARC-AGI-3, the hardest interactive reasoning benchmark in AI. Not a demo. Not a mock-up. A non-human mind reading real game worlds, deciding for itself, and driving level after level to a win.

What NUMEN is

NUMEN is an integer-only thinking machine — built from the voltage up, with no floating point, no GPU, and no borrowed libraries. Because every step is exact, the same input always produces the same result, right down to the last bit. It is a glass box: nothing hidden, everything measured.

It remembers in constant time, learns without brute force, and has run continuously for months on a single laptop. ARC-3 is where we pointed that whole machine at a problem the world calls hard — and let it play.

THE CONDUCTOR

CGOS 6D

The Coherence-Gated core. Six dimensions folded into one number and driven toward φ⁻¹. It decides, every tick, whether to press forward, hold, or cross over — the will behind every move on the board.

THE TRANSLATOR

ReL Language

The Recursive Emergence Language. It turns a raw game board into meaning the machine can act on — a glyph grammar that reads the world and writes back the next intention.

THE ORACLE

UOD Oracle

The Universal Oracle Decoder. When a choice must be made, it routes the decision to convergence — measured, repeatable, never a coin-flip. This is the part that says: this move, now.

Thirty-six modules that discover, test, integrate and verify — the machine improving its own toolkit. For ARC-3 it assembled the exact instruments this world demanded.

01The Mandate

We pointed NUMEN at ARC-AGI-3 — the hardest interactive reasoning benchmark in the field. Not multiple choice. Live worlds you have to actually play.

02Specialized From the Whole

We did not build a one-off bot. We took living pieces of NUMEN — the conductor, the translator, the oracle, the memory — and shaped them for one job: to play.

03First Light

The brain was wired to the real engine and took its first move on a real board. No human hands on the controls. A machine, perceiving and deciding on its own.

04The Machine Plays

Level after level, it drove each world forward — reading the board, choosing, acting, and pushing on until the game reported a win. Then the next level. Then the next.

05Every Moment Captured

353 real frames pulled straight off the live engine — the puzzle it was handed and the exact board when it won — each stamped with the second it happened and a fingerprint.

06Twenty-Four of Twenty-Five

24 of 25 games run to completion, 176 levels solved and photographed. Built alone, on one modest machine, while the field spends fortunes.

In the name of science

There is no person in the loop and no language model behind the curtain. A machine perceives each board, decides, acts, and pushes the game forward — level after level — until the world reports a win. These are the frames it produced, exactly as the engine drew them.
